Hindsight is 20/20, and it’s always hard to make sense of what you’re experiencing in the moment.

Those were my gentle reminders throughout 2025, because frankly, most days I didn’t know what the hell was going on. That is why the team and I wrote our first ever Annual Report. We needed intentional time to process a year as tumultuous as 2025.

We are really proud of this report 🥲 Yes, Subscriber First Name, we want to show off some of our accomplishments and highlight what we made possible in a year that felt unbearable. But I’m also proud of how much clarity this report has given us.

As I was writing the opening letter and notating last year’s top trends in workplace wellbeing, the hindsight emerged and the sense making began.

Everything that felt confusing in 2025 was now crystal clear and pointing our work in a very specific direction. All that had us stuck and frustrated started to unlock some ‘aha moments’ of what we’re called to do right now.

As we put the finishing touches on the report, I couldn’t help but feel like we just engaged in a healing process. The pain of the past became the motivation of the present. It reminded me of the West African term “Sankofa” — willingly “fetching” or returning to our past to inform our future.

So, Subscriber First Name, if it feels like you’re not sure wtf is happening right now, know that’s okay. My encouragement today (especially with this mercury retrograde 😵‍💫) is to call in your hindsight. Consider writing your own report on 2025 and see what wisdom it might have for you in the now. Here are a few helpful prompts to get you started:

• If 2025 was a chapter in a book, what would the title be? What would the major lesson from the chapter be?

• If I could visit myself exactly one year ago and tell myself one thing, what would it be?

• Who did I learn from in 2025, and what did they teach me specifically?

• If 2025 was a stepping stone to something greater, where do I think I’m headed next?
